What is the final day of the Free Phone Number Program?
As of 12/10/18 we are no longer accepting new orders for our FREE Phone Number plan. We will be entirely discontinuing this plan on 2/28/19; until this date any existing numbers on Free Phone Number plan will remain in service.

We launched our FREE Phone Number Plan as a value-added service for the BYOD Community in May of 2012. Over the past 7+ years we have provided and supported this product entirely free of charge.

How is the Dollar Unlimited plan different from the Free Phone Number plan?
Free Phone Number plan - Discontinued
- $0.00/month
- Included 3 Inbound Channels
- To keep the Number active under the Account, it had to receive a one minute(minimum) call every 90 days.
- Included only a few Rate Centers within the State of New York.
- Port Out Fee was $50.00 but this was reduced to $5.00 so Users can easily port the Number out if they do not wish to covert to the Dollar Unlimited plan.
- Limited to 2 Free Phone Numbers per Account



Dollar Unlimited Phone Number plan
- $1.00/month
- Includes 2 Inbound channels
- No minimum call requirement or 90 day cancellation
- Numbers in every major LATA/Rate Center in NY State and Parts of New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois.

What is the deadline to opt-in to convert my Free Phone Number(s) to the new Dollar Unlimited plan?
You have until 2/19/19 to decide whether you want to convert your Free Phone Number(s) to the Dollar Unlimited plan. We've sent an email advisory to all of our customers with Free Phone Numbers with a link to Opt-In to convert their numbers to our Dollar Unlimited plan. Additionally, this link will be posted on the Dashboard Page of the MyCallcentric Portal and it will also be included in the reminder emails that we will be sending in the coming weeks.

What happens if I do not opt-in to convert my Free Phone Numbers to the new Dollar Unlimited plan?
Any FREE Numbers that have not been converted to our NEW Dollar Unlimited plan will be automatically cancelled on 2/28/19.

What does the new Dollar Unlimited Phone Number plan include?
Our NEW Dollar Unlimited plan is priced at $1 per DID/month. Each number comes included with 2 dedicated inbound channels and unlimited inbound usage. Please note that this plan is currently only available for numbers from New York, New Jersey, Illinois and Massachusetts.

Can I purchase additional inbound channels for DIDs that are activated on the new Dollar Unlimited plan?
No, DIDs active on our Dollar Unlimited plan are capped at 2 inbound channels per DID.

Can I convert my Free Phone Number(s) to any of your PAID Inbound Calling Plans?
Yes. If you would like to convert your Free Phone Number(s) to our Dollar Unlimited plan, all you need to do is follow the opt-in link that is published on the Dashboard Page of the MyCallcentric Portal.

If you would prefer to convert your Free Phone Number(s) to a different paid inbound calling plan (Personal Unlimited, Office Unlimited, Pay-Per Minute DID, etc..); please open a support ticket on your account and our team will be happy to assist you with your request. They will also credit the Setup fee of the NEW plan.

I have other numbers on my account that are activated on PAID Calling Plans (Pay-Per Minute DID, Office Unlimited, Dirt Cheap DID, etc); can I transition these numbers to the new Dollar Unlimited plan?
No. This plan is only available for NEW orders and for numbers that are currently active on our Free Phone Number plan.

Can I port numbers that I have active with another carrier into the new Dollar Unlimited Phone Number plan?
No, you cannot port numbers into our Dollar Unlimited Phone Number plan.

Can I port my Free Phone Number(s) to a different provider prior to the 2/28/19 deadline date?
Yes, however to do so you will first need to pay a $5 "Number Unlock Fee" for each number that you plan to port.

Please note that prior to the decision to discontinue the Free Phone Number Plan, the "Number Unlock Fee" was $50 per DID. We have reduced this fee by 90% to offset the potential burden for customers who plan to port their number(s).

I currently use your FREE Services and was interested in converting my number to a PAID Plan. How does billing work with your service?
We use a universal billing period for all of our Paid Calling Plans that runs from the 27th until the end of each month. During this period, we will attempt to bill your account for any plans that have Monthly Recurring Charges. For additional information on our billing practices, please review our Billing FAQ.

I activated 911 Service using the Free Phone Number plan. What happens if i Opt Out?
If you Opt-Out, your 911 Service will be REMOVED as well. To keep 911 Service active, you will need a paid Inbound/Outbound plan on file.

What is my option if i just need Inbound Caller ID/CNAM and 911 Service?
For this use case you are most likely routing Calls from another Provider/Carrier to Callcentric(Eg: Google Voice). The most cost effective plan here would be the Dollar Unlimited plan.

Here is your recurring monthly cost:

Dollar Unlimited Phone Number: $1.00
911 Service: $1.50
Total: $2.50/month

What is my option if i have NO need for a Phone Number from Callcentric but require 911 Service?
For this use case, we suggest that you order the Pay Per Call Outbound plan. There is no monthly fee attached to this plan ($0.00/month). During the checkout process our system will ask you to add $5.00(minimum) credit, this amount can later be used to pay for the 911 charges every month ($1.50) until it is fully consumed.

What are my options if i no longer require a Phone Number from Callcentric but need 911 Service and Outbound Calling to US/Canada Numbers?
For this use case, you may order any of our North America plans/World Select Residential plan. They all include 911 Service at no additional cost.

North America Basic: This plan will provide you with 120 Outbound minutes to place calls to US, Canada and Puerto Rico. After the first 120 minutes all Outbound calls to US/Canada will be charged on a per minute* basis. $1.95/month

North America 500: This plan will provide you with 500 outbound minutes to call US, Canada and Puerto Rico. After the first 500 minutes all Outbound calls to US/Canada will be charged on a per minute* basis. $6.95/month

North America 1000: This plan will provide you with 1000 outbound minutes to call US, Canada and Puerto Rico. After the first 500 minutes all Outbound calls to US/Canada will be charged on a per minute* basis. $12.95/month

North America Residential: This plan will provide you with UNLIMITED outbound calls to US, Canada and Puerto Rico. $19.95/month

World Select Residential: This plan will provide you with UNLIMITED calling to OVER 35 countries and destinations around the globe. $29.95/month
--- Not Available for Office/Business Use

NYC Sales tax will ONLY apply if you live in New York. If you are outside of New York there is no other surcharges/taxes. You will simply pay the plan cost every month.

Why has Callcentric made the decision to discontinue the Free Phone Number Calling Plan?
The unfortunate fact of the matter is that our FREE Phone Number Plan was not just attractive to legitimate/valued customers, but that it also attracted large volumes of individuals who were looking to abuse the service or use it for nefarious purposes. Mediating against this type of abuse has it's own set of costs, both financially and in terms of manpower.

Further, over the past several years, changes in the Regulatory Landscape specific to CLECs and Carrier Access Billing; have significantly reduced (and almost eliminated) the amount of wholesale revenue carriers earn on traffic associated with the numbers they provide.

Due to these reasons, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our Free Phone Number Plan.
