What are the associated costs to use Callcentric for SMS?

What are the associated costs to use Callcentric for SMS?
In order to use SMS with your US/Canada DIDs, you will need to BOTH order an SMS Access Plan AND submit SMS Enablement Requests for each of the DIDs that you would like to use to send/receive text messages.

Our SMS Access Plans have a monthly recurring charge, however there is no associated cost to enable/disable SMS Functionality on your US/Canada DIDs. ALL inbound/outbound messages are billed in-line with the rates for the SMS Access Plan which was ordered.

Below is a summary of the associated charges for each of our SMS Access Plans:

SMS Basic: $1 Monthly Recurring Fee - Inbound/Outbound Messages metered/billed at 1 cent/message

SMS Pro: $2 Monthly Recurring Fee - Inbound/Outbound Messages metered/billed at 0.8 cent/message

*Please note we do not pro-rate the monthly recurring charges for new activations or upgrades/downgrades of our SMS Access Plans

**Short code messages are billed at 0.03 cents/message

How do I enable SMS on my US/Canada DIDs?
SMS can be enabled on your US/Canada Numbers either through our website or directly via our iPhone App. Please note that YOU NEED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE SMS ACCESS PLAN ON YOUR ACCOUNT in order to enable SMS on your number(s).

Below is a summary detailing some of the ways you can Enable SMS on your numbers:

Callcentric Website: Click the "Activate SMS" link that is located next to your eligible number(s) on the Dashboard Page, Product Summary Page, or within the SMS Message Center.

Callcentric SMS App(iOS/Android): You can Enable SMS on a Phone Number by going to Settings -> SMS Numbers

IMPORTANT: Please note the SMS Enablement Process needs to FULLY COMPLETE before you will be able to send/receive SMS Messages on your number(s). As such, we recommend waiting a full hour from the time you submit your enablement requests prior to attempting to send/receive messages on your number(s).

I just submitted an order to enable SMS on my number; how long until I can begin sending/receiving messages on this number?
SMS enablement takes 1-2 hours to complete, from the time you submit your request. Please note you will not be able to send/receive messages on your number(s) until the enablement process fully completes.

Can I send/receive text messages on my Callcentric DIDs that I HAVE NOT enabled SMS on?
No. You can only send/receive text messages on your US/Canada DIDs that you have enabled SMS on.

Can I access MDR Reports that detail my SMS usage history?
Yes. MDR Reports detailing your SMS usage history can be accessed/created via the Reports Section of the MyCallcentric Portal.

If I disable SMS on my numbers, can it be re-enabled at a later time?
Yes. Provided that you have an SMS Access Plan active on your account, you can enable or disable SMS Services on your DIDs at any time.

Are the Monthly Recurring Charges for the SMS Access Plans pro-rated?
No, we do not pro-rate the monthly recurring charges for new activations or upgrades/downgrades of our SMS Access Plans.
