| Why has Callcentric made the decision to discontinue the Free Phone Number Calling Plan? |

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that our FREE Phone Number Plan was not just attractive to legitimate/valued customers, but that it also attracted large volumes of individuals who were looking to abuse the service or use it for nefarious purposes. Mediating against this type of abuse has it's own set of costs, both financially and in terms of manpower.
Further, over the past several years, changes in the Regulatory Landscape specific to CLECs and Carrier Access Billing; have significantly reduced (and almost eliminated) the amount of wholesale revenue carriers earn on traffic associated with the numbers they provide.
Due to these reasons, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our Free Phone Number Plan. |
