Configuring SoundStation IP 5000
Here we will configure the SoundStation IP 5000 through the web interface in order to register to Callcentric to allow you to place/receive calls. The information presented in this guide is based on Version UC-4.0.8 of the SoundStation IP 5000 firmware. If you are running a different firmware version some of the menu options and settings may be different.

This guide assumes that your SoundStation IP 5000 has a valid IP address and that you have administrative access to the web interface of the device. If you need assistance accessing the web interface for your SoundStation IP 5000 web administration pages, please refer to the SoundStation IP 5000 Administrator Manual.

We recommend that you read each step through in its entirety before performing the action(s) indicated within the step.
STEP 1 Logging into your device
Log into the SoundStation IP 5000 administrative interface by using the supplied default admin password (456)



STEP 2 Configuring your Callcentric account
From the top menu bar, select Settings, followed by the SIP subsection:



On this page, please use the settings detailed in the screen captures below. After you have finished entering these settings, click on the Save button to apply/save your settings:

Once you have saved the settings detailed above; from the top menu bar, select Settings, followed by the Lines subsection:



On this page, please use the settings detailed in the screen captures below. After you have finished entering these settings, click on the Save button to apply/save your settings:



Display NameYour Desired Name, or your 1777 number
AddressThis is either the default extension 1777MYCCID OR 1777MYCCIDEXT, where 1777MYCCID is the 1777 number assigned to you by Callcentric and EXT is the three digit extension you are trying to register this UA to.

For example: 17770001234101 would register to extension 101 on account 17770001234.

You cannot register to your account using only the extension number.
Authentication User IDThis is either the default extension 1777MYCCID OR 1777MYCCIDEXT, where 1777MYCCID is the 1777 number assigned to you by Callcentric and EXT is the three digit extension you are trying to register this UA to.

For example: 17770001234101 would register to extension 101 on account 17770001234.

You cannot register to your account using only the extension number.
Authentication PasswordEnter your extension SIP Password here. Your extension SIP password is the password you created for the extension you are trying to use. You may edit the SIP password you wish to use in by logging into your My Callcentric account and clicking on the Extension menu link and then modifying the appropriate extension.

STEP 3 Codec Configuration
Now we will configure the codecs you will use with the Callcentric services. From the top menu bar, select Settings, followed by the Audio Codec Priority subsection:



From the In Use column, please make sure that G.711Mu and G729AB are the only codecs selected. You may disable any additional codecs from this column by clicking on the Left arrow icon. Your codec selection should look similar to the screenshot below:



STEP 4 That's it! You can now make a phone call.
You can make a test call to 17771234567, or if you are signed up for one of Callcentric's rate plans you can place a call to a traditional landline or mobile phone by dialing either:
1 + the area code and number for calls to the US
Or
011 + the country code, area code, and number for calls worldwide (you may also use 00 instead of 011).
