Acrobits/Groundwire for iPhone

This guide will assist you with the general steps needed to configure the Acrobits iPhone softphone app. Please note that we do not guarantee full functionality for this SIP application. This guide is only provided for those who wish to experiment, and potentially use, this software. Ideally you will want to use a wifi connection with these features, instead of a 3G connection.

Additionally please be aware that:

  • If used over 3G/EDGE then depending on carrier and service plan used, you may be billed for your data usage.
  • If using the PUSH feature in Acrobits then your username and password will be transmitted to Acrobits systems.

Groundwire is the business version of the Acrobits softphone, as of version 1.1. Groundwire provides extra features to clients such as call transfer and conferencing. The same configuration instructions provided in this guide can be used to configure the Groundwire application.

Configuring Acrobits Softphone app
1 Open the Acrobits softphone app by clicking on the Acrobits softphone icon with your iPhone user interface.

2 After starting the app you will see that 'no accounts' are configured within the softphone. Click on the 'Settings' button.

3 On the 'Settings' page click on 'SIP Accounts'

4 You will then click on the "+" button in the top right corner.

5 From the 'VoIP Provider' list, click on 'Callcentric'.

6 On the Callcentric settings page please enter your 1777 number. Then your SIP Phone password.

Password 'SIP Phone password here'

7 You will then see Callcentric added to your 'List of your SIP Accounts'.

8 Then click the 'Settings' button in the top left corner, which will take you to your 'Settings' page. You may then click 'Done' on the top right corner. You should then see that your Callcentric account is registered and can place a test all to our test number by dialing 17771234567 and the 'SIP' button.
