Innomedia SIP MTA-6328

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Innomedia SIP MTA-6328 is a reliable telephone adapter that works well with the Callcentric service when configured properly.

NOTE: Since this is a former SunRocket device (now largely acquired by TeleBlend) you may need to unlock it. We do not provide these instructions to end users and you may have to do some research on your own to find out how to go about unlocking it.

SIP MTA 6328 Quick Start Guide

Configuring the Innomedia SIP MTA-6328-2r
These instructions are based on SIP MTA-6328-2r software version 3.0.38; if you are running a different software version some menus and settings may be different.

We recommend that you read each step below through in its entirety before performing the action indicated in the step.
STEP 1 Disable Auto Provisioning
Connect your PC with an Ethernet network cable to the LAN Port of the device. Next, plug the supplied power cable into the device.

Open a web browser on your computer such as Internet Explorer and enter the IP address: 192.168.251.1 (in some cases, the device's IP Address is: 192.168.99.1) You should be greeted with a page similar to the one displayed below.

Click on the IP Network link on the left menu bar and select the Provisioning Setting link as indicated on the picture below. Please ensure that the Enable Provisioning is unchecked/disabled. If it isn't please uncheck the option and click on the Save & Reboot button.

STEP 2 SIP Proxy Configuration
From within the SIP Proxy configuration page, please configure the following settings:

FieldSetting
SIP Proxy:sip.callcentric.net
Use Outbound Proxy:CHECKED
SIP Local Signaling Port:5060
SIP Domain:sip.callcentric.net
Registration Expiration Time (sec.):3600
Preferred CODECs Lists:1 - G729A/ 8000
2 - G723/ 8000
3 - G728/ 8000
4 - G726-32/ 8000
5 - PCMU/ 8000
6 - PCMA/ 8000

STEP 3 User Account Configuration
From within the User Account configuration page, please enter in the following as indicated on the picture below:

FieldSetting
Line No:1
User ID:This is either the default extension 1777MYCCID OR 1777MYCCIDEXT, where 1777MYCCID is the 1777 number assigned to you by Callcentric and EXT is the three digit extension you are trying to register this UA to.

For example: 17770001234101 would register to extension 101 on account 17770001234.

You cannot register to your account using only the extension number.
User Password:Enter your extension SIP Password here. Your extension SIP password is the password you created for the extension you are trying to use. You may edit the SIP password you wish to use in by logging into your My Callcentric account and clicking on the Extension menu link and then modifying the appropriate extension.
User Name:Enter your name in this field
Authentication ID:This is either the default extension 1777MYCCID OR 1777MYCCIDEXT, where 1777MYCCID is the 1777 number assigned to you by Callcentric and EXT is the three digit extension you are trying to register this UA to.

For example: 17770001234101 would register to extension 101 on account 17770001234.

You cannot register to your account using only the extension number.

STEP 4 The Config File
Next, open a text editor, such as "Notepad" and input the following information and save it as SIP6328.cfg, as shown on the pictures below (Please note, do not use Wordpad, or Microsoft Word, as it will modify the structure of the file.):

Please note: for your caller ID date and time settings you will want to set your correct timezone by setting 'NTP_Local_Time_Offset' to the proper timezone offset. By default this is set to 0.00 which is GMT/UTC time. For example Eastern time is -5.00

From within the Config File page, please click on the Browse button, and locate the file SIP6328.cfg on your computer. Once you have located the file, click on the Upload button, as shown on the picture below:

Once the file has been uploaded, please check to see if the file has properly uploaded to the device, by clicking on the SIP6328.cfg file on the Config File page, this should match the file that you have created and saved previously.

STEP 5 Reboot the Innomedia
Finally reboot the Innomedia by unplugging the device's power adapter and plugging it back in. Also, please make sure that the WAN port of your device is properly connected to your router.

After reboot you can click on Information on the left side of the page and then Register Status & Critical Messages to see if the unit is registered.

You can also check to see if the "VoIP" light is lit. If it isn't lit unplug the device for 30 seconds and reconnect it again.

STEP 6 Placing Test Calls
You can make a test call to 17771234567, or if you are signed up for one of Callcentric's rate plans you can place a call to a traditional landline or mobile phone by dialing either:
1 + the area code and number for calls to the US
Or
011 + the country code, area code, and number for calls worldwide (you may also use 00 instead of 011).

To test inbound calls from Callcentric to your Asterisk installation, follow the directions listed in this FAQ.
