CounterPath's desktop and mobile softphones are easy to use, work great with Callcentric, and are available on a multitude of platforms (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android). The Bria Solo Softphone is available in both free and paid/subscription versions. You can review the differences between each version here.

Configuring Bria Solo for Callcentric |
 |
These instructions are based on Bria Solo (free subscription) and are applicable for both Windows and MacOSX installs. Although this version has a noticeable interface change from previous versions (X-lite); the configuration settings have largely remained the same.
This guide assumes that you've successfully created an account on Counterpath's platform and also that you've installed Bria Solo on your computer. In case you haven't, we've included some links below:

Step 1 |
Getting started with Bria Solo |

Select Voice and Video from the top menu bar of your Bria Solo Dashboard and then click on the Add Voice Configuration button.

Configuring your Callcentric account |

You should be presented with the selections shown below:
On this interface, click on Select from Providers and select Callcentric.

Within the General tab of your configuration, please use the settings detailed in the screenshot below. After doing so, click on the Save And Close button to save your configuration:

SIP Username/ Call Extension/td> | This is either the default extension 1777MYCCID OR 1777MYCCIDEXT, where 1777MYCCID is the 1777 number assigned to you by Callcentric and EXT is the three digit extension you are trying to register this UA to.
For example: 17770001234101 would register to extension 101 on account 17770001234.
You cannot register to your account using only the extension number. |
Authorization Username | This is either the default extension 1777MYCCID OR 1777MYCCIDEXT, where 1777MYCCID is the 1777 number assigned to you by Callcentric and EXT is the three digit extension you are trying to register this UA to.

SIP/ Voice Password | Enter your extension SIP Password here. Your extension SIP password is the password you created for the extension you are trying to use. You may edit the SIP password you wish to use in by logging into your My Callcentric account and clicking on the Extension menu link and then modifying the appropriate extension. |

Checking registration status |
|
From your desktop, please launch the Bria Solo application. Upon first run, you should be presented with a login screen, similar to the screenshot below:
Please enter the email address and password you used to create your CounterPath account and click on the Sign In button. After signing in, you should be presented with the following interface:
If you receive an error message, please confirm that your internet connection is working properly and re-verify your settings.

Step 4 |
That's it! You can now make a phone call |

You can make a test call to 17771234567, or if you are signed up for one of Callcentric's rate plans you
can place a call to a traditional landline or mobile phone by dialing either:
1 + the area code and number for calls to the US
Or
011 + the country code, area code, and number for calls worldwide
(you may also use 00 instead of 011).
