CALLING CARD

How the Calling Card feature works

With the Online Calling Card feature you can use your Callcentric account to place calls from a regular phone such as a Cell/Mobile phone while on the road. Calls placed using the Calling Card feature are billed at Callcentric's low Pay Per Call rate plan calling rates, regardless of which rate plan you have on your account.

Access Numbers and Authentication

You may use the Calling Card feature by dialing into a Global access number; or a Personal dedicated access number by using one or more of the phone numbers you have purchased on your account.

Access and authentication to the Calling Card feature is available in a few ways depending on how you access the Calling Card feature:

Account number + PIN

Caller ID

Global access number

Personal dedicated access number

Additional Features:

While a call is connected, you may enter the # key on your phone 3 times in a row (IE # # #) to disconnect the active call and place another.

When a call is disconnected by the person you are calling, you will be prompted to place another call if you wish.

You may dial *66 when prompted to enter the number you wish to call, and the last number you called will automatically be re-dialed.

You may dial *75xx Callcentric phone book numbers to call a contact in your Callcentric account phone book.

Using the # key when finished dialing an account number, PIN, or number you wish to call will indicate you have completed dialing, and is faster.

PLEASE NOTE: Caller ID information can be spoofed (faked) in some cases. If you are concerned with security on your account then using PIN authentication only instead of Caller ID authentication is more secure.

Access Number Fees

Global Access Numbers may have per-minute surcharges associated with them for using the access number to place calls. Any per-minute surcharges are detailed on the Global Access Numbers list.

Personal Dedicated Access Numbers will have per-minute incoming fees to use the number if the phone number product itself indicates an incoming per-minute fee. For example, if you have a Pay Per Minute phone number the regular incoming per-minute fee will be charged for inbound calls in addition to the per-minute rate of the destination you are calling.

Calling Card Call Billing

As mentioned above, calls placed using the Calling Card feature are billed at Callcentric's low Pay Per Call rate plan calling rates, regardless of which rate plan you have on your account.

You can view all calls placed using the Calling Card feature in your Call History report which will include the access number used, PIN or Caller ID used.
