Caller ID and CNAM

Can I use third-party numbers that have been verified by Callcentric as the Caller ID on my outbound calls to Toll-Free Numbers?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to use any numbers which are not active with the Callcentric Service as the outbound Caller ID for calls placed to Toll-Free Numbers.

If you have verified a Third-Party Number with us and use it as for outbound Caller ID purposes; on outbound calls to Toll-Free Numbers your "verified number" will be replaced with one of our own on-network numbers.

As such, please note that the Toll-Free Number you dial will not be able to reach you on the Caller ID that was delivered unless you verbally provide the individual/company that you called with the exact number you wish to be called back at.

This rule applies in the following instances:
  1. The number you wish to use for outgoing Caller ID was NOT assigned to you by Callcentric
  2. The number that you wish to you use was NOT ported to Callcentric
  3. The number that you wish to use has been verified with Callcentric but is not active on one of our monthly inbound calling plans
*Please note, this is done to prevent Caller ID spoofing for calls to Toll-Free numbers as required by US Telecommunication Regulatory Rules.

**If you need to use a specific off-network number for outbound Caller ID purposes on calls to toll-free numbers; the only solution to address this concern is to port (LNP) your number to our service.
