| Configuring SGW-2200 |
 |
Here you will configure your SGW-2200, or similar Sinoco device, to register with our servers. This device requires that you plug your computer into
the LAN port in order to begin initial configuration. So first you will want to make sure that the SGW-2200 is connected to your router through it's WAN port
and that your PC/Laptop is connected to the LAN port. Once you have done this you can verify that you are properly connected, your IP address should be in
the 192.168.1.2-254 range. By default the username/password combination for this device is admin/admin.
We recommend that you read each step through in its entirety before performing the action indicated in the step.
|
 | |
| STEP 1 |
Configure DNS and DHCP information: |
|
Using your favorite web browser, login to the SGW-2200 administrative interface, here we connect through 192.168.1.1
which is the gateway address we receive from the Sinoco.
Select System from the top navigation.
As shown above you will want to make sure that you are using public DNS servers and a public NTP server. Here we use
4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 as our public DNS servers and time.nist.gov
and time-a.nist.gov for NTP information. You will also want to make sure that your "Internet Connection Mode" is set
to DHCP, unless you wish to specifically use a static configuration.
Once done click on the "Apply" button on the bottom of the page to save your changes

If you do not see this please double check your configuration and then reboot your device by turning it off for 30 seconds and turning it back on.
If you do see that your Registration state says Registered then
That's it! You can now make a phone call.
You can make a test call to 17771234567, or if you are signed up for one of Callcentric's rate plans you can place a call to a traditional
landline or mobile phone by dialing either:

Or
011 + the country code, area code, and number for calls worldwide (you may also use 00 instead of 011).
